Группа расположила аппаратуру в подвалах, где, как говорил Айомми, сама атмосфера способствовала появлению новых идей. Для Оззи Осборна альбом стал творческой вершиной: он говорил, что ни до, ни после, голос его не звучал так хорошо, особенно в гармонии с самим собой.
Оформление
Для оформления обложки альбома была использована картина «Изнасилование Христа» («The Rape of Christ»), автор которой, Дрю Струзан, позже занимался оформлением кинопостеров, работал над дизайном первых «Звездных войн».

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is the fifth studio album of the Black Gavi Black Sabbath, released on December 1, 1973 and marked the transition of the group to complicated arrangements, saturated with synthesizing sound (and even string-in the last track), more characteristic of progressive rock. Participation in the record of the record was attended by Rick Waykman, the keyboardist YES. The album rose to #4 in UK Albums Chart and to #11 in Billboard 200
Work on the album began, as the group members recalled, in a difficult period for it, when I had to break off relations with the previous management, and participation in Black Sabbath began to turn into routine (“We are touring, writing, we write - Osborn again and again.” - O. Osborn ). The condition of the musicians also began to affect the lifestyle, which was partly reflected in the subject of the album (“Killing Yourself to Live”).
Tony Aiommy recalled that after Vol.4 he had a creative crisis; He had already fallen into despair when “... this riff that saved Black Sabbath” and after which the rest of the songs began to appear one after another.
To work on the material, the group rented a castle in Wales; The musicians claimed that he was “with a ghost” (Bill Ward claimed that he had seen a ghost jumping out of the window; after that he, going to bed, always took a dagger with him to bed). The group placed the equipment in the basements, where, as Aimmy said, the atmosphere itself contributed to the emergence of new ideas. For Ozzi Osbourne, the album became a creative peak: he said that neither before nor after, his voice did not sound so good, especially in harmony with himself.
Decor
To arrange the cover of the album, the painting “The Rape of Christ” was used, the author of which, Drew Strusan, later engaged in the design of film pools, worked on the design of the first “Star Wars”.

").
"National Acrobat." The midpoppted fore-blouse track, built on a complex, ornate riffa, continues the topic that begun in “After Forever”: this is a philosophical reflection on the meaning of life with a religious connotation. The lyrics of the song (as Batler later noted) completely refuted the opinion that was widespread in the then musical press that Black Sabbath, as if, raise “high” topics, possessing a “narrow consciousness”.
