Истоки этой испанской (точнее каталонской) группы датируются 1979 годом, когда 5 музыкантов
из городов Таррагона и Реус испанской провинции Каталония объединились
в группу, которую они первоначально назвали Companyia Oliva Negra, а позже
переименовали в Metamorfosis.
Основным композитором группы был клавишник Montcusi Жауме, к которому вскоре присоединился

Музыка представляет собой гибрид состоящий в основном из джаз-рока в слиянии прог-симфоническими элементами.
Все музыканты имеют профессиональное музыкальное образование. Впечатляет отличная работа клавишника Жауме Montcusi.
Более не выпустив других альбомов, Метаморфоза была расформирована в 1985году.
Их репетиционное помещение было преобразовано в студию звукозаписи Метаморфозы, в Которой
Montcusi стал звукорежиссером помогая региональным музыкантам 80-х и 90-х годов,кроме того в некоторых случаях он играл в качестве клавишника: например, в записи Bufo Эль-де-ла Корт местной каталонской Neo-Prog группы Доктор Ноу).
К концу 2000-х годов он был все еще в бизнесе, студия стала его собственностью
и переименована в Entrepins.
Гитарист Джоан Рамос продолжал играть джаз с новой группой под названием UCCAT.

Their rehearsal premises were transformed into a metamorphosis recording studio in which
Montcusi became a sound engineer helping regional musicians of the 80s and 90s, in addition, in some cases, he played as a keyboard player: for example, in the record of Bufo El de la Court of the local Catalan NEO-PROG of Dr. Know.
