Сегодня я здесь для восстановления справедливости (во имя луны, ага). В далеком 2014-ом вышло не мало крутых релизов и второй альбом Words Of Farewell бесспорно является один из них. The Black Wild Yonder уже довольно подробно рассматривался в одном из выпусков MMM, который можно освежиться в памяти (или впервые глянуть) по ссылочке ниже, но по чудовищной несправедливости в паблике он так и не появлялся. И это крайне необходимо исправить! В этом году ребята обещают выпустить новый полноформатник, неплохой повод для того, чтобы вспомнить их последнее творение.

Странный альбом. Вроде вообще ничего не происходит, ярких моментов нет, песни не особо отличаются друг от друга. Но почему-то обнаруживаешь себя переслушивающим его снова. И снова. И снова. Один из тех самых редких случаев, когда музыканты пытаются под невзрачной обёрткой спрятать очень много интересного. Правда, удалось это здесь где-то наполовину, саму суть подхода группа освоила очень хорошо, а вот состряпать достойную начинку за этой ширмой получилось с грехом пополам. И тем не менее раз за разом ощущаешь себя ненормальным, одержимо копающим оловянной ложкой иссушённую землю в поисках воды. Найдете ли здесь что-либо лично вы, мне, правда, знать не дано.
Музыка мало чем отличается от дебюта: всё тот же неординарный гибрид вольных размышлений на классические шведские темы и кучи модерновых риффов, при этом альбом вообще не слушается как модерн, даже несмотря ещё и на тотальную клавишную электронщину, и это таки да, заслуга этих немцев: сделать Х, которое всеми силами отказывается выглядеть как Х. Хитов нет вообще, если на Immersion 2-3 трека ещё можно было таких найти, то здесь это попросту бесполезно. Несмотря на часовой хронометраж и все вышеупомянутые однородности, The Black Wild Yonder почти не кажется затянутым, в каждой композиции есть что-то, заставляющее прислушиваться, и к концу диска под это монотонное, но затягивающее музицирование, уже почти погружаешься в полудрёму. Но там и поджидает истинный шедевр: Riven. Если вы не влюбились в этот рифф с первого взгляда, у вас нет сердца. Как жаль, что построенный на нём шикарнейший припев повторён всего полтора раза, а в финал помещено длинное фортепианное аутро на той же мелодии. Как тут не вспомнить такую же односложную и гипнотическую The Trapper с последнего Kalmah. Кроме этого алмаза отмечу также ещё Outer Rim с феерической лид гитарой, особенно в шикарном соло в конце, до боли напомнившую Beyond Omnium Gatherum, и бонусную Overture. Из остального каждый волен выбирать то, что нравится больше.
О звуке говорить большого смысла не имеет, он безупречен, всё сведено бережно и аккуратно, с любовью к деталям и нюансам, как того и требует задумка.
Как относиться к The Black Wild Younder, я пока так и не понял, но отрицать необъяснимую притягательность альбома при, казалось бы, полнейшей его невзрачности категорически не могу.

Today I am here to restore justice (in the name of the moon, aha). In the distant 2014, there were no little cool releases and the second album Words of Farewell is undoubtedly one of them. The Black Wild Yonder has already been considered quite detailed in one of the MMM issues, which can be refreshing in memory (or look for the first time) on a reference below, but he never appeared in a monstrious injustice. And it is extremely necessary to fix! This year, the guys promise to release a new full-photographer, a good reason to remember their last creation.

Strange album. It seems nothing happens at all, there are no bright moments, they do not particularly differ songs from each other. But for some reason, you find yourself entrepreneurs over again. And again. And again. One of the most rare cases when the musicians are trying to hide a lot of interesting things under the inevitable wrapper. True, it succeeded here somewhere half, the very essence of the approach the group mastered very well, but to comprehend a decent stuffing for this screen turned out to be in half. And nevertheless, just once, we feel abnormal, obsessed with the buffaceous tin spoonful of land in search of water. Do you personally find anything here, however, it is not given to know.
Music is not much different from the debut: all the same extraordinary hybrid of free reflection on the classic Swedish themes and heaps of modern riffs, while the album does not listen at all as modern, even despite the total keyboard electron, and this is the same yes, the merit of these Germans: Make X, which by all the forces refuses to look like H. hits is not at all if it was still possible to find such an immersion 2-3 track, then this is simply useless. Despite the hourly timing and all the above homogeneousness, The Black Wild Yonder almost does not seem prolonged, in each composition there is something forcing it to listen, and by the end of the disk under this monotonous, but tightening musitization, almost immerse yourself in a half. But there is a true masterpiece: riven. If you do not fall in love with this riff at first glance, you have no heart. What a pity that the gorgeous chorus built on it is repeated and a half times, and a long piano outro on the same melody is placed in the final. How not to remember the same single-stovered and hypnotic The Trapper from the last Kalmah. In addition to this diamond, I also note the Outer Rim with an enchanting lead guitar, especially in the chic solo at the end, to the pain reminding the Beyond Omnium Gatherum, and the bonus overture. From the rest, everyone is free to choose what more like.
It doesn't have a lot of meaning about the sound, it is impeccable, everything is reduced carefully and gently, with love for details and nuances, as well as the idea requires.
