Смерть потерялась в лабиринтах одной замкнутой комнаты,
И звезды гасли по одной под слоем копоти.
Их ищут пожарные, их ищет милиция -
Заведомо, действия всех служб бессмысленны.
И одни соболезновали: надо спасать их;
Другие пели: не в алмазах небо, небо в квадратик;
А третьи были облаками - они по небу плыли;
А иные растакие, насмехаясь, говорили:
Они напились сладкого вина
А убитая кошка вновь гуляет по крыше.
С крыши - город на ладони, а также лес за ним,
А по лесу скачут изумрудные всадники
В открытую дверь из груди навсегда.
А одни почитали их повинными смерти,
Другие гоготали - да, да - то были черти;
Молчали третие - их кайф всегда смеяться последними;
И болтали те, кому не дано видеть видения,
Мол, они напились сладкого вина.
Хрустальный мост битым стеклом, значит прыжок через бездну,
Взявшись за руки. Отсчет идет. Горящие балки.
Координатные оси. Круги ада. Столетия.
В бездонной крохотной вселенной начинался пожар.
Для одних они лишь тени в огненном вихре,
Другие рты открыли, замерли и затихли,
А третьи обнимали пламя голыми руками,
Невидимое всем тем кто смеялся за дверями -
Они напились сладкого вина
Били витрины гастрономов в подарок собакам,
Бездомным собакам с оживших рисунков,
Просто смеялись, всю ночь шатались по лужам,
С порывом ветра исчезли навсегда, насовсем...

And still others embraced the flames with their bare hands,
Invisible to all those who laughed behind the doors -
They got drunk on sweet wine
They smashed grocery store windows as gifts for dogs,
To homeless dogs from animated drawings,
We just laughed and wandered around in the puddles all night,
With a gust of wind they disappeared forever, forever...
