В пенатах родных он давно вне закона,
Душу свою поручил Ваэрону,
И в Мракобесы попал между делом –
Здесь наплевать, в черном ты или в белом.
Быть приключенцем – забавная штука,
Выполнить квест – непростая наука.
Наемник – любимец богов, не иначе.
День пережил – и спасибо удаче!
Не бард и не вор, и денег нет в карманах,
Не маг, не колдун – зато не надо маны.
Не клирик, и что? И воином неплохо!
Ведь он просто дроу, и всё ему…
Ему не бывать в легендах героем,
Впрочем его это очень устроит.
Есть уже всё, чего надо на свете -
Приятели, девушка и даже дети.
Есть приключенья, клинки и дорога,
Порой даже деньги, хоть и немного.
Когда-нибудь боги возьмут его душу,
И ладно! Ведь вечно жить все-таки скучно.
Он мир не спасал во имя поколений,
А слава и власть ему вообще до фени.
Он сам за себя – ему и так неплохо!
Ведь он просто дроу, и всё ему…

It's a funny thing being an adventurer
Completing a quest is not an easy science.
A mercenary is a favorite of the gods, no less.
I survived the day – and thanks to luck!
Not a bard and not a thief, and there is no money in my pockets,
Not a magician, not a sorcerer - but you don’t need mana.
Not a cleric, so what? And not a bad warrior!
After all, he’s just a drow, and that’s all to him...
He will not be a hero in legends,
However, this will suit him very well.
There is already everything that is needed in the world -
Friends, girlfriend and even children.
There are adventures, blades and a road,
Sometimes even money, albeit a little.
Someday the gods will take his soul,
And okay! After all, living forever is still boring.
He did not save the world in the name of generations,
And he doesn’t give a damn about fame and power.
