Мы – дети детей Победы,
Родившихся в сорок пятом
В стране, что стояла гордо
На твёрдых своих ногах.
Военной поры приметы,
Привычные тем ребятам,
Ложатся на гриф аккордом
И в наших звучат стихах.
В косую линейку пропись,
В засохших чернилах вставка
И карточки отменённой
Квадратик, что хлебом стал,
И стрелянной гильзы окись
Под вспоротым брюхом танка,
И запах травы зелёной,
Пробившейся сквозь металл.
Мы – дети военных фильмов
И книг о пиратских кладах.
В индейской раскраске лица
Ватаги на пустыре,
С наборною ручкой финка
И хмурый генсек в наградах –
Всё это одна страница
В потрёпанном букваре.
Мы – дети детей Победы.
Мы кисточкой осторожно
Снимаем наветы с круга
Наивных времён, когда
И радости все, и беды
Делились, - и было можно
Рассчитывать друг на друга,
А прочее – ерунда!

And the smell of grass is green,
Breaking through the metal.

Remove the signs from the circle
