Много лет назад была ужасная война,
Но никто не знал, из-за чего была она,
В каждый дом пришла о смерти весть,
Убитых было там не счесть.
С тех пор прошло не мало лет, успели люди всё забыть,
Никто не вспомнит сейчас о тех, кто был предательски убит.
И не было покоя тем, кто предал там своих друзей,
И по ночам я не встречал здесь живых людей.
Как только ночь спускается с небес,
Я слышу голоса тех, кто здесь жил до нас,
Я б так хотел, чтоб не было войны,
Что б жили все они, как мы живем сейчас.
И ночью я пришел туда, и взору моему предстал,
Прекрасный город, как алмаз, лишь отблеск от луны бросал,
Я видел боль на лицах тех, чьи тени бродят меж домов,
Я словно очутился в царстве снов.
Как только ночь спускается с небес,
Я слышу голоса тех, кто здесь жил до нас,
Я б так хотел, чтоб не было войны,
Что б жили все они, как мы живем сейчас.
Я долго там стоял один, и много думал о былом,
Вся жизнь прошедшая моя, казалась мне забытым сном,
Ночной покой и тишина, вот все что хочет человек,
Я вскинул руки к небесам, и тенью стал на век.
