6 апреля 1966 года. Страстная седмица - Великая среда. Берлин, Германия. Як-28П 668-го бомбардировочного авиаполка.

Отказ обоих двигателей.
Приказ КДП покинуть неуправляемый самолет.
Летчики не выполнили прямого приказа. Они остались в самолете до конца и смогли отвести его от оживленных улиц большого города...
Самолет упал на озеро Штессензее. Многие жизни людей были спасены ценой двух героических жизней.
Оба летчика были награждены орденом Боевого Красного Знамени, к сожалению, посмертно...
