Дождь встал холодной стеной -
Плач свинцовых небес.
Тенью старого тролля
Потревожен плачущий лес…
Он уже вымок до нитки,
Ветер в складках плаща,
И запела старая скрипка
В этом храме лесного дождя…

Тень вслед за тобой,
- Пой, сверчок-королек,
Ночь нежная, пой…
- Серый день растает как дым,
И для мира людей умирая,
Я бегу по дорогам лесным,
Там, где тролль на скрипке играет…
- Приди ко мне, в забытый чертог,
Что зеленеет весной.
Сколько ни будет дорог –
Все покажутся сном!
Мне – играть
Звенящих струн не обрвать,
Песней своей оглашать
Замок лесной…
