Игорь Александрович Мазнин пришел в детскую литературу, имея за плечами немалый жизненный опыт. До появления первой своей книжки «Кот Пушок» Игорь Мазнин окончил институт, несколько лет был школьным учителем, работал редактором детского издательства. «Кот Пушок» сразу привлек внимание и понравился ребятам так же, как и другие, вышедшие за этой книжкой сборники стихов: «Удивительный слон», «Расскажите, облака», «Почему киты молчат», «Теплая тропинка».
Стихи Игоря Мазнина, светлые и добрые, знакомят ребят с окружающим миром, полным чудес, тех, что встречаются на каждом шагу, только их не всегда замечаешь.
Солнце в окошке,
Тень на дорожке...
Птица на ветке,
Цветок на тропинке,
Пчела на цветке,
Муравей на травинке...
Как просто и вместе с тем удивительно, если внимательно присмореться да призадуматься. Прекрасный живой мир! Он дан человеку, чтобы тот «жил, любил этот мир и другим сохранил». Это большая радость – видеть и понимать окружающее, запомнить и воссоздать в книжках виденной, подмеченное.
Вот Игорь Мазнин и делится с читателем этой радостью, этим уменьем видеть необычное в обычном. Его стихи, легкие, открытые, сами собой запоминающиеся, - словно внезапно распахивающиеся окна в неизведанный, полный тайн мир природы, маленьких открытий и большого хорошего любопытства к жизни.

Before his first book “Cat Fluff”, Igor Smznin graduated from the institute, was a school teacher for several years, worked as an editor of the children's publishing house. “The Cat Fluff” immediately attracted attention and liked the guys just like the others, the collections of poems that were behind this book: “Amazing Elephant”, “Tell me, clouds”, “Why whales are silent”, “Warm path”.
The poems of Igor Smznin, bright and kind, introduce children to the outside world full of miracles, those that meet at every step, only you do not always notice them.

Flower on the path,
A bee on a flower
Ant on the grass ...
