Тогда Куруфин и Келегорм (феаноринги) от осознания того, что Берен и Финрод совершают то, на что сами феаноринги не смогли решиться проклинают всё и вся и клянуться уничтожить новых претендентов на сильмарилы. В своём дворце теперь уже король Тингол прозревает падение Нарготронда, Дориата из-за его самодурства и раскаивается. Мелиан нечем его утешить/
