«Порядок вскрытия и захоронения трупов людей, умерших от сибирской язвы» от 12 апреля 1979 года:
«Труп умершего от сибирской язвы обертывают в простыню, смоченную 20-процентным хлорно-известковым молоком или 10-процентным раствором 2/3 основной соли гипохлорита кальция, и затем укладывают в металлический гроб или гроб из плотно сколоченных досок, обитый внутри клеенкой, на слой хлорной извести толщиной 10 см; труп засыпают хлорной известью со всех сторон. Крышку гроба заколачивают гвоздями и больше не открывают.
Если есть возможность, гроб с трупом подвергают кремации (сжиганию). В случае невозможности кремации проводят захоронение на общих кладбищах. Гроб зарывают в могилу на глубину не менее двух метров.
В местностях с высокостоящими подпочвенными водами гроб с трупом устанавливают в плотный, просмоленный изнутри и сверху ящик. Пространство между стенками гроба и ящика заполняют сухой хлорной известью, ящик заколачивают плотной просмоленной крышкой.
В тех случаях, тогда труп еще не удален из квартиры, его укладывают в гроб с соблюдением указанных выше правил и приступают к дезинфекции помещения. При этом обработку начинают с гроба, который орошают одним из дезинфицирующих растворов, рекомендованных для обеззараживания помещений.
