Badfinger получили контракт с Apple Records (став, как отмечает Allmusic, единственной группой экстра-класса, оказавшейся на этом лейбле), выпустили серию запоминающихся и успешных синглов («Come and Get It», «No Matter What», «Day After Day», «Baby Blue»), но оказались жертвой — как нечистоплотности представителей музыкального бизнеса, с которыми вынуждены были иметь дело, так и трагического стечения обстоятельств.

Badfinger-a British rock band, formed in 1969 in Swanxi, Wales, and performing Power Pop; Many critics attribute it to the pioneers of this genre in Britain. In the early 1970s, Badfinger were considered direct followers of The Beatles-both in stylistic terms and due to the fact that the group patronized Paul McCartney, who saved it from early collapse and provoked basic releases.
Badfinger received a contract with Apple Records (becoming, as Allmusic notes, the only Extra-Class Group on this label), released a series of memorable and successful single (“Come and Get it”, “No Matter What”, “Day After Day” , “Baby Blue”), but turned out to be a victim - both the uncleanness of representatives of the musical business, with whom they had to deal with and a tragic combination of circumstances. As a result, the two main authors of the group committed suicide (Pete Ham - in 1975, Tom Evans - in 1983), and Badfinger included history as the “most unsuccessful group” of all times.
Perhaps the famous songs of Pete Ham and Tom Evans, “Without You”, made the famous Harry Nilsson, and later performed by Mayrai Carey, Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassie and many others.
