Деревня тонет средь ухабин, её избёнки скрыл лесок,
Пейзаж природою разграблен, а путь до города далёк,
Лишь видно в кочках и ложбинах, как небо льётся синевой,
В картинах грустных и старинных, найдёшь утраченный покой
Деревня скрылась в бездорожье, её избёнки лес объял,
И только небосвод тревожный, над этим краем засиял,
Здесь волки воют в час закатный, когда приходит темнота,
Их голос грозный, многократный, несут холодные ветра
А по дворам, где снег искрится и иней лёгкий серебрит,
Спокойный храп коней струится и тишина вокруг царит,

И воют волки зимней ночью, с полей доносится их глас,
Увидеть можно их воочью, в такой вот поздний, тёмный час,

Гуляет одинокий ветер, лаская старенький сарай
