How white noise
Became the music of the heart.

And understand
How the fire has gone out of my songs;
While I, accepting
Weariness as a given, drift along with the current of the day.

In this letter
Lies the tale of a life bestowed upon a cold spring;
And—as if in a dream—
A tangled whirlwind of people and events;
And Death—
Like an intoxicating sunset. I beg of you: live!
And love—
With your wounded heart—only those who are worthy of love.
