Глава пятнадцатая.
Немедленно поутру первосвященники со старейшинами и книжниками и весь синедрион составили совещание и, связав Иисуса, отвели и предали Пилату.
Пилат спросил Его: Ты Царь Иудейский? Он же сказал ему в ответ: ты говоришь.
И первосвященники обвиняли Его во многом.
Пилат же опять спросил Его: Ты ничего не отвечаешь? видишь, как много против Тебя обвинений.
Но Иисус и на это ничего не отвечал, так что Пилат дивился.
На всякий же праздник отпускал он им одного узника, о котором просили.
Тогда был в узах некто, по имени Варавва, со своими сообщниками, которые во время мятежа сделали убийство.
И народ начал кричать и просить Пилата о том, чтó он всегда делал для них.
Он сказал им в ответ: хотите ли, отпущу вам Царя Иудейского?
Ибо знал, что первосвященники предали Его из зависти.
Но первосвященники возбудили народ просить, чтобы отпустил им лучше Варавву.
Пилат, отвечая, опять сказал им: что же хотите, чтобы я сделал с Тем, Которого вы называете Царем Иудейским?
Они опять закричали: распни Его.
Пилат сказал им: какое же зло сделал Он? Но они еще сильнее закричали: распни Его.
Тогда Пилат, желая сделать угодное народу, отпустил им Варавву, а Иисуса, бив, предал на распятие.
А воины отвели Его внутрь двора, то есть в преторию, и собрали весь полк,
и одели Его в багряницу, и, сплетши терновый венец, возложили на Него;
и начали приветствовать Его: радуйся, Царь Иудейский!
И били Его по голове тростью, и плевали на Него, и, становясь на колени, кланялись Ему.
Когда же насмеялись над Ним, сняли с Него багряницу, одели Его в собственные одежды Его и повели Его, чтобы распять Его.
И заставили проходящего некоего Киринеянина Симона, отца Александрова и Руфова, идущего с поля, нести крест Его.
И привели Его на место Голгофу, чтó значит: Лобное место.
И давали Ему пить вино со смирною; но Он не принял.
Распявшие Его делили одежды Его, бросая жребий, кому чтó взять.
Был час третий, и распяли Его.
И была надпись вины Его: Царь Иудейский.
С Ним распяли двух разбойников, одного по правую, а другого по левую сторону Его.
И сбылось слово Писания: и к злодеям причтен.
Проходящие злословили Его, кивая головами своими и говоря: э! разрушающий храм, и в три дня созидающий!
спаси Себя Самого и сойди со креста.
Подобно и первосвященники с книжниками, насмехаясь, говорили друг другу: других спасал, а Себя не может спасти.
Христос, Царь Израилев, пусть сойдет теперь с креста, чтобы мы видели, и уверуем. И распятые с Ним поносили Его.
В шестом же часу настала тьма по всей земле и продолжалась до часа девятого.
В девятом часу возопил Иисус громким голосом: Элои́! Элои́! ламмá савахфани́? – что значит: Боже Мой! Боже Мой! для чего Ты Меня оставил?
Некоторые из стоявших тут, услышав, говорили: вот, Илию зовет.
А один побежал, наполнил губку уксусом и, наложив на трость, давал Ему пить, говоря: постойте, посмотрим, придет ли Илия снять Его.
Иисус же, возгласив громко, испустил дух.
И завеса в храме раздралась надвое, сверху донизу.
Сотник, стоявший напротив Его, увидев, что Он, тáк возгласив, испустил дух, сказал: истинно Человек Сей был Сын Божий.
Были тут и женщины, которые смотрели издали: между ними была и Мария Магдалина, и Мария, мать Иакова меньшего и Иосии, и Саломия,
которые и тогда, как Он был в Галилее, следовали за Ним и служили Ему, и другие многие, вместе с Ним пришедшие в Иерусалим.
И как уже настал вечер, – потому что была пятница, то есть день перед субботою, –
пришел Иосиф из Аримафеи, знаменитый член совета, который и сам ожидал Царствия Божия, осмелился войти к Пилату, и просил тела Иисусова.
Пилат удивился, что Он уже умер, и, призвав сотника, спросил его, давно ли умер?
И, узнав от сотника, отдал тело Иосифу.
Он, купив плащаницу и сняв Его, обвил плащаницею, и положил Его во гробе, который был высечен в скале, и привалил камень к двери гроба.
Мария же Магдалина и Мария Иосиева смотрели, где Его полагали.

Chapter Fifteenth.
Immediately in the morning, high priests with elders and scribes and the entire Sanhedrin made a meeting and, having connected Jesus, took away and betrayed Pilate.
Pilate asked him: Are you the king of Jew? He said in response: you say.
And the high priests accused him in many ways.
Pilate asked him again: you are not answering anything? You see how many accusations are against you.
But Jesus did not answer anything, so Pilate was wondering.
For every holiday, he released one prisoner to them, about whom they asked.
Then he was in the bonds of a certain, named Varavva, with their accomplices, who made a murder during the rebellion.
And the people began to scream and ask Pilate about what he always did for them.
He told them in response: Would you like to let you go the king of Judea?
For he knew that the high priests betrayed him out of envy.
But the high priests excited the people to ask to let them go better.
Pilate, answering, again said to them: what do you want me to do with the one you call the king of Judea?
They screamed again: crucify him.
Pilate told them: what evil he did? But they screamed even more: cut him off.
Then Pilate, wanting to make pleasant people, let them go to them, and Jesus, Biv, betrayed him for crucifixion.
And the warriors took him inside the court, that is, to Praetory, and gathered the entire regiment,
And they put him in the crimson, and, the spells of the crown, laid him on him;
And they began to welcome him: Rejoice, King Judea!
And they beat him on the head with a cane, and spat on him, and, standing on their knees, bowed to him.
When they laughed at him, they took off his crimson, put him in his own clothes and led him to crucify him.
And they forced the passing of a certain Kirinean Simon, the father of Alexandrov and Rufov, coming from the field, to carry his cross.
And they brought him to the place of Golgof, which means: frontal place.
And they let him drink wine with Smirnoy; But he did not accept.
The crucifixes of him shared his clothes, throwing lots, to whom to take.
It was a third hour, and crucified him.
And there was an inscription of his guilt: the king of Jew.
Two robbers were crucified with him, one on the right, and the other on his left side.
And the word of scripture came true: and is honored to the villains.
Passing slandered him, nodding their heads and saying: e! Destroying the temple, and creating in three days!
Save yourself and go off the cross.
Like the high priests with scribes, mocking, spoke to each other: he saved others, but cannot save himself.

And as the evening has already come, because it was Friday, that is, the day before the Saturday, -
Joseph of Arimafei came, the famous member of the Council, who himself expected the kingdom of God, dared to enter Pilate, and asked for the bodies of Jesus.
Pilate was surprised that he had already died, and, calling the centurion, asked him, how long did he die?
And, having learned from the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
He, having bought a raincoat and taking it off, wrapped it around the shroud, and laid it in the coffin, which was carved in the rock, and leaned the stone to the door of the coffin.
