На голландца немедленно посыпался шквал восторженных рецензий, а пластинку критики поставили в один ряд с работами Global Communicaton, Aphex Twin и Biosphere. В том же году Kettel выпускает бутлег-винил «Making Gentle Love To Famous Ladies» со своим прочтением нескольких поп-хитов – к нему под нож попадают Бьорк, Destiny’s Child и Дженифер Лопес. Таланты голландца не остались незамеченными – Mute Records сделал голландцу предложение записать ремикс на композицию Depeche Mode “Newborn”, который позже увидел свет на сингле «A Pain That I’m Used To».
A flurry of enthusiastic reviews immediately fell on the Dutchman, and criticism was put on a par with the works of Global Communicaton, Aphex Twin and Biosphere. In the same year, Kettel releases a butleg-vinyl vinyl “Making Gentle Love to Famous Ladies” with his reading of several pop hits-Bjorka, Destiny’s Child and Jennifer Lopez are falling under his knife. The Dutchman's talents did not go unnoticed - Mute Records made the Dutch a proposal to record a remix on the Depeche Mode “NewBorn”, which later saw the light on the single “A Pain that I’m used to”.
