У вершины Кармель, где стоит монастырь кармелитов,
У подножья ее, где могила пророка Ильи,
Где, склоняясь, католики к небу возносят молитвы
И евреи, качаясь, возносят молитвы свои,
Позолоченным куполом в синих лучах полыхая,
У приехавших морем и сушей всегда на виду,
Возвышается храм новоявленной веры Бахаи
Возле сада, цветущего трижды в году.
Этот сказочный храм никогда я теперь не забуду,
Где все люди живут меж собой в постоянном ладу.
Одинаково чтут там Христа, Магомета и Будду,
И не молятся там, а сажают деревья в саду.
Здесь вошедших, любя, обнимают прохладные тени,
Здесь на клумбах цветов изваянья животных и птиц.
Окружают тебя очертания дивных растений,
Что не знают границ, что не знают границ.
Буду я вспоминать посреди непогод и мороза
Лабиринты дорожек, по склону сбегающих вниз,
Где над синью морской распускается чайная роза
И над жаркою розой небрежно парит кипарис.
Мы с тобою войдем в этот сад, наклоненный полого,
Пенье тихое птиц над цветами закружится вновь.
И тогда мы вдвоем осознаем присутствие Бога,
Ибо Бог есть любовь, ибо Бог есть любовь.

Where, leaning, Catholics ascend to the sky prayers
And the Jews, swinging, offer their prayers,
The gilded dome in blue rays is blazing,
The arrivals of the sea and land always in sight,
The temple of the newly -minted faith of Bahai rises
Near the garden flowering three times a year.
I will never forget this fairytale temple now,
Where all people live among themselves in a constant fret.
Equally honor Christ, Mohammed and the Buddha,
And they do not pray there, but plant trees in the garden.
Here, who entered, loving, hug cool shadows,
Here on the flower beds of the flowers of animals and birds.
The outlines of marvelous plants surround you,
That they do not know the boundaries, that they do not know the boundaries.
I will remember in the middle of bad weather and frost
Labyrinths of paths, down the slope of running down,
Where a tea rose blossom over the seine of the sea
And over a hot rose, cypress soaks carelessly.
You and I will enter this garden, inclined hollow,
Singing quiet birds over flowers will spin again.
And then we together are aware of the presence of God,
For God is love, for God is love.
