Вдруг к бою команда была подана.
Товарищи, бросив цигарки,
Вперед по глубокому снегу пошли,
И с ними пошли санитарки.
Ударная рота, врага разгромив,
С трофеями в тыл возвращается.
Зарыли в могилу погибших в бою
И с ними навеки прощались.
Из боя не вышли и двое друзей,
Они были оба убиты.
И в братской могиле своими друзьями
Сырою землею зарыты.
Товарищи клятву сдержали свою,
Что дали они перед боем.
Нашли их средь трупов немецких солдат.
Они были в походе героев.
Один не оставил винтовки своей,
Держа коченелым руками.
Штыком приколол трех фашистов за грудь.
И счет покончил с врагами.
Широко раскинувши руки, второй лежал
Между вражьими телами.
За горло могучим руками
Сдавил двух немцев железным крестами.
Тяжелую весть получили семьи.
И та и другая в печали.
Поплакали обе жены по мужьям
И разом друг другу сказали:
«Мужья наши были до смерти друзьям,
А мы были в детстве подруги.
Забыть их не в силах мы обе с тобой,
Вспомянут их дети и внуки.
Подруга, за дело возьмемся дружней
Под лозунгом: „Все для победы!"
Несчастье постигло, слезам не возьмешь.
Счастливые пусть будут дети».
