It was suggested that the rhyme has a historical background, and expresses a complaint of a medieval resident of England about the tax on the wool.
Tell me, our lamb,
How much wool will you give us?
Not cutting me yet.
I will give the wool three bags:
One bag - the owner,
Another bag is the hostess,
And the third - small children
On warm fufikes.
