Мальчик сложил тетрадный листок,
Сделал кораблик, чей парус высок.
Дал ему имя «Бесстрашный герой»,
Выпустил в светлый ручей за зеленой горой.
Долгие дни кораблик плывет,
Небо кометами сверху плюет,
А за бортами - то кровь, то вино,
Стены великих империй уходят на дно.
Но он все плывет сквозь туман и лед,
Сквозь города в разноцветном дыму.
Он сильней стократ всех стальных армад,
И они уступают дорогу ему.
До детских снов и до детской мечты
Уж не допрыгну ни я и ни ты.
Смотришь порою на взрослых людей
И лишь вздыхаешь: «Каких испортили детей!».
И чем взрослей, тем мы только глупей,
Все меньше смысла в мелькании дней.
Спросишь в конце: «Для чего же я жил?».
И лишь припомнишь кораблик, что в детстве сложил.
А он все плывет и сквозь мрак несет
Ясный огонь твоей детской души.
И за много лет только этот свет
Недолго сиял в беспросветной глуши.
