Этот суперпроект был реализован благодаря устремлениям Тома Гэлли, интересовавшегося природой феноменальных явлений еще с глубокого детства. Сначала Том хотел снять фильм о всяких сверхъестественных вещах, но потом при помощи своего брата Мела представил свою идею Питу Винклмэну с «Bronze Records». Пит предложил на основе этой концепции сделать альбом, и таким образом был дан старт истории «Phenomena». Первые сессии прошли в 1983 году и включали всего трех участников — Тома Гэлли как продюсера, экс-клавишника «Magnum» Ричарда Бэйли и экс-гитариста «Budgie» Джона Томаса. Затем из тура с «Whitesnake» вернулся Мел Гэлли и подключился к делу вместе со своим коллегой Кози Пауэллом.
Немного позже в создание пластинки внесли свою лепту Гленн Хьюз (вокал), Нил Мюррей (бас), Тед МакКена (ударные, экс-«Sensational Alex Harvey Band») и Дон Эйри (клавишные).

This superpoproject was implemented thanks to the aspirations of Tom Galley, who was interested in the nature of phenomenal phenomena since deep childhood. At first, Tom wanted to make a film about all sorts of supernatural things, but then, with the help of his brother, Mela presented his idea to Pete Winklman with Bronze Records. Pete proposed to make an album on the basis of this concept, and thus the Start of the history of Phenomena was given. The first sessions took place in 1983 and included only three participants-Tom Galley as a producer, ex-slate Magnum Richard Bailey and ex-gitarist Budgie John Tomas. Then, Mel Galley returned from the tour from “Whiteesnake” and joined the business with his colleague Kozi Powell.
A little later, Glenn Hughes (vocals), Neil Murray (Bas), Ted McCen (shock, ex-Sensational Alex Harvey Band) and Don Ayry (keyboards) were contributed to the creation of the record.
