Замела зима в тайге пути-дороженьки -
Не проехать, не пройти, не пробежать,

Но не может спать в лесу волчица серая -

Веселится рыжая луна,
В чёрном небе одна.
Голод резко снял волчицу с логова
И погнал навстречу ветру по тайге,
Но добычу не видать - не слышно шороха нигде.
На поляну только в ночь волчица выползла,
"Человек!" и сразу встала дыбом шерсть.
Ей в глаза в упор смотрела Жизнь решительно и Смерть.
И они внезапно носом к носу встретились,
Чтобы жить придётся, видно, нужно убивать,
И волчица и пацанка сразу кинулись, чтоб рвать.
Бились молча, страшно насмерть и отчаянно,
Отползая, чтоб чуть-чуть передохнуть,
Пузырями кровь катилась тёмно-алая как ртуть.
Сосны чёрной тенью дружно отодвинулись,
Вьюга билась меж деревьями винтом,
Умирали человек и волк, раскинувшись листом.
