43 Потому сказываю вам, что отнимется от вас Царство Божие и дано будет народу, приносящему плоды его;
44 и тот, кто упадет на этот камень, разобьется, а на кого он упадет, того раздавит.
45 И слышав притчи Его, первосвященники и фарисеи поняли, что Он о них говорит,
46 и старались схватить Его, но побоялись народа, потому что Его почитали за Пророка.

Образ камня довольно часто встречается в Священном Писании. Это очень важный богословский символ. Если мы выясним его значение, нам будет намного легче понять тот смысл, который заключается в сегодняшнем евангельском отрывке.
У Израильского народа была довольно сложная судьба: долгие скитания, египетское рабство, обретение собственной земли и ее потеря, Вавилонский плен, возвращение домой, казалось бы, свобода, конец всех злоключений, но опять потеря независимости и гнет могущественной римской империи. И все это на фоне постоянной ненависти и неприязни со стороны окружающих племен и народов. А потому и сказал царь Давид в одном из своих псалмов: «Камень, который отвергли строители, соделался главою угла». То есть, то, на что окружающие смотрели как на нечто непригодное для строительства дома, стало основанием всей постройки. Так псалмопевец образно указал на Израиль. Тот народ, которым все пренебрегали, который все ненавидели, должен сыграть, по замыслу Бога, ключевую роль в истории всего человечества, ведь именно из него должен произойти Мессия. Тот же смысл видим и в словах пророка Исаии: «Вот, я полагаю в основание на Сионе камень, камень испытанный, краеугольный, драгоценный, крепко утвержденный». Сион – гора в центре Иерусалима, которая зачастую выступала символом всего еврейского государства. Что делает Христос? Обращаясь к иудейским вождям, он берет хорошо знакомый им образ камня и наполняет его новым смыслом. По его словам, за то, что они не выполнят своего предназначения, за то, что они отвергнут Мессию, придет какой-то новый народ, он станет новым камнем, и отныне он, а не Израиль будет выполнять особую миссию Бога. Безусловно, речь идет о христианской Церкви, которую часто называют Новым Израилем.
Но не только на эти смыслы намекает образ камня. Обратим внимание на то, что по словам Христа, этот камень станет непреодолимым препятствием для некоторых людей: кто на него упадет, разобьется, а на кого он упадет, того раздавит. О чем идет речь в этом случае? Давайте опять обратимся к Ветхому Завету. Вот, что пишет пророк Исаия: «Господа Саваофа – Его чтите свято, и Он – страх ваш, и Он – трепет ваш! И будет Он освящением и камнем преткновения и скалою соблазна для обоих домов Израиля, петлею и сетью для жителей Иерусалима. И многие из них преткнутся, и упадут, и разобьются, и запутаются в сети, и будут уловлены». Камень в данном случае – Сам Бог. Он установил закон и дал его евреям, Своему народу. Однако Израиль отказался следовать этим законам, а потому навлек на себя многочисленные скорби.
Итак, в этом отрывке при помощи образа камня Христос указывает на самого Бога, то есть, на Себя. Его отвергнут, унизят, распнут, а Он все равно победит. Более того, те, кто Его отвергли, сами себе вынесут приговор.
Это можно понимать не только в отношении иудеев, распявших Христа и в результате, проваливших свою миссию, потерявших свой храм и свою родину, по сути, оказавшихся на периферии истории. Это касается любого человека, который пытается игнорировать Бога в своей жизни. Ведь Бог подобен огромному камню, который всегда лежит на твоем пути и постоянно напоминает о Себе. Его не обойти и не перепрыгнуть. Это, конечно, можно пытаться делать, можно даже воевать с Ним, но результат всегда будет один и тот же: или ты будешь раздавлен или разобьешься, окажешься выброшенным на обочину жизни. Единственный выход – смириться перед Ним и поставить Его во главу угла, сделать Его закон основой всех своих начинаний. Только в этом случае здание нашей жизни будет крепким и вечным.

The image of the stone is quite often found in the Holy Scriptures. This is a very important theological symbol. If we find out its meaning, it will be much easier for us to understand the meaning that consists in today's gospel passage.
The Israeli people had a rather complicated fate: long wanderings, Egyptian slavery, gaining their own land and its loss, Babylonian captivity, returning home, it would seem, freedom, the end of all the misfortunes, but again the loss of independence and oppression of the powerful Roman Empire. And all this against the backdrop of constant hatred and hostility from the surrounding tribes and peoples. And therefore, King David said in one of his psalms: "The stone that the builders rejected was the head of the corner." That is, what others looked at as something unsuitable for building a house became the basis of the whole extension. So the psalmist figuratively pointed to Israel. The people to whom everyone neglected, which everyone hated must play, according to God, a key role in the history of all mankind, because it is the Messiah that should come from it. We see the same meaning in the words of the Prophet Isaiah: "Here, I believe in the base on Zion a stone, a tested stone, cornerstone, precious, strongly approved." Zion is a mountain in the center of Jerusalem, which often acted as a symbol of the entire Jewish state. What does Christ do? Turning to the Jewish leaders, he takes the image of a stone well familiar to him and fills it with a new meaning. According to him, because they will not fulfill their destiny, for rejecting the Messiah, some new people will come, he will become a new stone, and from now on he, and not Israel will fulfill the special mission of God. Of course, we are talking about a Christian church, which is often called New Israel.
But not only the image of a stone hints at these meanings. Let us pay attention to the fact that according to Christ, this stone will become an insurmountable obstacle to some people: who will fall on him, break, and who he will fall into him will crush him. What is about in this case? Let's turn to the Old Testament again. This is what the prophet Isaiah writes: “The gentlemen of Savaof - honor him holy, and he is your fear, and he is your thrill! And he will be the consecration and a stumbling block and a rock of temptation for both houses of Israel, a loop and a network for the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many of them will undergo, and fall, and break, and get confused on the network, and will be caught. ” The stone in this case is God himself. He established the law and gave it to the Jews, his people. However, Israel refused to follow these laws, and therefore introduced numerous sorrows.
So, in this passage, with the help of the image of a stone, Christ points to God Himself, that is, to Himself. He will be rejected, humiliated, plucked, but he will win anyway. Moreover, those who rejected it will be sentenced to themselves.
This can be understood not only in relation to the Jews who crucified Christ and as a result, who failed their mission, who lost their temple and their homeland, in fact, who found themselves on the periphery of history. This applies to any person who is trying to ignore God in his life. After all, God is like a huge stone that always lies in your path and constantly reminds of himself. He cannot be circumvented or jumped. This, of course, can be tried to do, you can even fight with him, but the result will always be the same: either you will be crushed or broken, you will find yourself thrown on the side of life. The only way out is to put up in front of him and put him at the forefront, make his law the basis of all his undertakings. Only in this case, the building of our life will be strong and eternal.
