Дрожь пронзала всё тело, нас скрывала темнота,
Мы держались достойно, хотя погодка ещё та…
Глаза блестели ярче звёзд и их увидели в прицел,
Мелькали жизни-светлячки у винтовки на конце…
Падал снег на руины, в раны попадала соль,
Нас душили кошмары, а мы тушили свою боль.
Самолеты кружили, словно ведьмы на метле,
Там зимой было жарче, чем у дьявола в котле,
Мне не суждено вернуться, мама, только ты прости,
Среди нас только Васька дотянул до восемнадцати…
Страшно видеть слёзы, нас присыпало землёй,
Я не почувствовал боли, когда ударил разрывной.
Время будто застыло, живых спасали доктора,
Наши тела под завалами с пятничного вечера
Страшная игра в войну, моя последняя игра,
Убрали фишки в коробку, исчезнув в дыме от костра.
Обещай…наше дело будет жить…слышишь?
Обещай, друг, что будешь биться, пока дышишь!
Обещай! Не прощать плевок в лицо!
Обещай мне разить словами и свинцом!
Вмиг закончилось детство, покрылось шрамами лицо,
Эти будни в окопах из нас сделали бойцов…
Тело быстро крепчало, скалою должен стать курган,
Волками взвыли сирены мира, попавшего в капкан!
Братан, держи мою руку, мою шинель и мой паёк,
Ты прикрывал меня грудью, в обстрелах отдавал ружьё!
Мы вставали под пули и как один рвали вперёд!
Кровь, бурлящая в жилах, смывала с тела пыль и пот!
В ход летели все силы, смешались небо и земля,
Я слышал безысходный писк тварей, бегущих с корабля..
Но не дано попасть на бал, тем кто остался здесь лежать
И пусть прошли десятки лет, кровь наших ран ещё свежа…
Я тоже был когда-то молод, тоже долго жить мечтал,
Но не смотря на маяки, корабль не найдёт причал,
Свеча моя погасла в миг, меня ты больше не зови,
Цена геройских тех смертей - надейся, бейся и живи!
