Как ночь сегодня неспокойна:
Едва заметный запах смерти

Нельзя смыкать сегодня очи:
Всадник без головы
Несется под покровом ночи
Он был убит здесь тысячу лет назад
Там, где нашел погибель весь его отряд,
Попав в засаду.
И было много там врагов,
Но, протрубив в бараний рог,
"Атаковать" -он приказал отряду.
Все его люди полегли
И он один остался
Но духом был он непоколебим,
Но всадник не сдавался.
Когда ж его глава упала
То тело дух не потеряло:
Долго еще, изо всей силы,
Тело врагов его рубило
И долго еще верный меч
Рубил и резал главы с плеч
И только в полном крови поле
Среди поверженных врагов,
Упал он, и не поднимался боле
Но дух его остался неспокоен:
И по сей день он здешних мест защитник, воин
И по сей день, один раз в год,
Он из могилы восстает...
