В пожарах сады пропадали,
Но, пеплом листвы шелестя,
Цвели, наливались плодами,
И в мир приходило дитя.
Свершались привычные вещи:
Бессонье, родных хоровод...
А стрелы свистели зловеще
О бренности этих забот.
Бесчинства во имя единства -
Укрыться, уснуть, убежать!..
Но вечный инстинкт материнства
Предписывал жить и рожать.
Усилье, насилье, бессилье,
Все в кучу горящей метлой,
Пусть ведьмы, коль связаны крылья,
Поднимутся в небо золой.
А те, задыхаясь на стоне,
Тянулись - успею, скорей! -
Стереть обожженной ладонью
Безумие с лиц дочерей.
Мол, завтра костры обернутся
Кустами жасмина и роз,
И добрые сказки вернутся
В края унижений и слез.
Сойдутся пути и причины,
Очнутся в мужьях и отцах
Высокие духом мужчины
С великой любовью в сердцах.
Им будет дарована сила
И радость творенья добра,
Чтоб Жизнью Любовь освятила
Золу векового костра.

And a child came to the world.
The usual things were accomplished:
Sawson, native round dance ...
And the arrows whistled ominous
About the frailty of these worries.
Atrocities in the name of unity -
Hide, fall asleep, run away! ..
But the eternal instinct of motherhood
He ordered to live and give birth.
Strengthen, violence, powerlessness,
All in a bunch of burning broom,
