Спасибо Бог, что в день один беспечный
Мне мама сообщила вдруг,
Что у меня не скоро, но навечно

И в силу лет не мог я знать когда-то
Когда услышал эту я простую весть,
Что на земле забилось сердце брата
А это значит он на свете есть
Ты был мальцом, простым и беззащитным

Что кто тебя обидит - будет битым,
А кто приветит - другом быть всегда
Мои друзья тебе друзьями были,
Твоих друзей всех знал по именам,
Шёл день за днём, года тихонько плыли

С тобой вдвоём с рассвета до заката
Мы не смогли друг другу надоесть
Глаза большие маленького брата
Дают надежду мне, что Бог на свете есть
